  Al an' Rubens is a wonderful restaurant. The team is friendly and always welcoming. The food is homemade and "made with love" daily. The daily specials are always fresh and delicious, as well as everything on the menu. The deserts look scrumptious, and always a best seller and sell out quickly :).
  
  If you haven't go t to Al an' Rubens your missing an excellent restaurant and delicious food " made with love" and from the heart.

  Located just outside Washington, PA on Jefferson Avenue, Route 844, this small family-owned restaurant has been a staple of our dining-out choices for the past several years. Their menu is complete and delicious for all courses -- from appetizers through dessert. There's always an interesting special and something new to check out on the menu.
  Service is great with out-going servers who are only slow when the place is packed-- which happens quite a bit on the weekends and holidays. The only downside is logistical-- the tiny parking lot that surrounds the building gets full pretty quick, so plan on parking in the lot of the diner across the street if you're there after hours (that diner's also good as well, but that's another review!)
  Prices are reasonable and drinks are very good with a tiny bar you walk through to get into the restaurant seating. Every once in a while AnR's has live music-- a great place to go before heading out, dinner with the family or just to kick back in the bar for an evening!

  We were visiting from Ohio and decided to stop in for our first time last week. The service and food was great! Good selection and affordable! I had the steak hoagie. It was yummy. We will definitely stop back.
